YOUR QUICK START GUIDE TO WIX

One of the main reasons I chose to work with WiX for my clients is the simplicity of being able to update your website without any coding whatsoever. This guide is meant to show you the basics of the editor and store so that you are able to quickly and easily update your website and store functions. Since I go over just the basics - because otherwise, this guide would be WAY too long for anyone to want to read - I have also included links to some of the most helpful areas in WiX support. They do an awesome job of explaining and walking through all of the additional features of the system. I would also recommend either subscribing to my blog or the WiX blog as there are new features being released all the time.

STEP #1 UPDATING YOUR SETTINGS

So you have accepted the website design into your WiX account. What’s next? The first thing to do is become familiar with your Dashboard. This is where your website and account settings are located. The first thing you want to do is update your Site Settings. This is all of the “behind the scenes” information for your website. You can see that it is located on the left hand side of your Dashboard (see image below).

You can log into the client clique (https://www.moxiemadebranding.com/client-home)  and click on THE LEARNING CENTER where there are TONS more video tutorials and helpful information.

 

LOG IN: your email address

If you aren't registered , you can request access by signing up with a username and password of your choice  and I will approve it lickety split.

LAUNCHING YOUR WEBSITE

Once you have all of your products and store information entered, it’s time to launch your website!

 

As soon as you are finished adding your site settings, store information and products shoot me an email (hello@moxiemadebranding.com) to let me know you are ready to launch.

 

The launch process can take up to 48 hours so your scheduled date needs to be at least 2 days before your public launch date. This will give the domain time switch over to your new site.

 

For example, If you would like your official public launch to take place on a Monday, I recommend we schedule our launch date for Thursday or Friday.


Once we have your launch date scheduled, I will go through and test your site making sure that everything works perfectly. I will adjust the mobile template and test out all links, forms and the checkout process. I will make any tweaks or corrections needed for launch and then switch over your domain. During this time, you can choose to add email addresses to your WiX account. You will go through your Dashboard to order these. Unfortunately, I can’t order them for you. If you click on Domains & Mailboxes on the left side menu of your dashboard, a guide will help you through the process.

Actually more like the beginning of something awesome! It’s time to yell to the rooftops that your new website is ready. Sadly, this is where our project comes to an end but just remember if you need anything at all, I’m just an email away! :)
